Pyrus communis ‘Conference’ – Conference pear 6-8cm girth Potted

Pyrus communis ‘Conference’ is a small, deciduous tree. Buy a Conference pear tree today!

The ‘Conference’ pear has green leaves and scented white flowers in spring. It also produces a dessert pear that is firm, juicy and bell-shaped.

These pears have a fine and soft texture with a sweet flavour. You can harvest them in September, when slightly under-ripe, and store until ripe in November.

The Conference pear is a self-fertile tree in pollination group 3 so it does not need a pollinating partner in order to produce fruit. However, having another variety of pear nearby would help to maximise the fruit yield.

Introduced in 1885, Pyrus communis ‘Conference’ is an excellent variety for the UK climate. It is a reliable tree that grows well in shady, colder spots and moist, well-draining soils.

Pyrus communis ‘Conference’ is a popular choice for gardens, especially in colder areas like the North. Buy a Conference pear tree online and at our tree nursery in Essex!
