Terms & Conditions

  1. Goods remain the property of King & Co (The Tree Nursery) Limited until paid for.
  2. The company hereby reserves the property in any goods/services sold until payment of the price thereof is received in full.
  3. Payment within ONE month from the date of invoice for approved account holders. Interest will be charged on overdue accounts at 3% per month compounded at monthly rates. The time within which the buyer is to pay for any goods shall be of the essence of this contract.
  4. Complaints must be made in writing to us within 7 days of receipt of the goods/service by the buyer. If the buyer shall fail to give such notice the goods shall be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with the contract and the buyer shall be bound to accept and pay for the same accordingly.
  5. No responsibility will be accepted by the company for losses arising out of causes beyond its control.
  6. Any description given of the goods is given by the way of identification thereof only and use of such description shall not constitute a sale by description.
  7. Buyers shall be deemed to accept the above conditions as part of the contract of sale by placing an order with us. None of the terms and conditions of sale shall be deemed to be waived or modified unless expressly agreed by us in writing.
  8. We do not accept any responsibility for damage to underground services unless details are notified in writing prior to start of work.
  9. All goods/services by King & Co are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
  10. Please note only guide dogs are allowed on the site.
  11. In the event of cancellation of an order(s) a 10% surcharge will be made to cover the company’s reasonable expenses/disbursements.
  12. Where contracts are carried out at customers premises, our operator’s attention must be drawn to any work not considered satisfactory prior to leaving the site, for the final time. Any further visits may involve travelling charges. Please note removal of soil/residue from site is not included in our rates.
  13. Whilst every care is used to supply stocks of highest quality true to name, no warranty expressed or implied is given as to description, productiveness or any other matter, and we cannot be responsible for failures. All orders are executed on these conditions only.
  14. We regret that we are unable to convey trees/plants through dwellings, upon delivery, for reasons of insurance and health and safety.
  15. Please ensure delivered goods are satisfactory in all respects before signing, on receipt.

Shopping online

You can buy trees, hedging, shrubs and topiary online by browsing our website.
If you do not see a plant or size that is suitable for you then please call as we stock a wide variety of plants in our tree nursery. It’s worth noting that many other websites sell other people’s stock (i.e. they act as an agent) so you cannot view the products at their own site. At King & Co, all of our advertised plants are available for viewing at our tree nursery in Rayne, near Braintree, situated just over an hours drive out of London.
