Prunus avium Stella – Stella Cherry tree 6-8cm girth (Bare Root)

A self fertile sweet cherry with good flavour and juicy. Best choice of cherry for gardens. Tree form is upright when young then spreading with maturity. A good pollinator for other varieties of cherry. Cherry blossom is white followed by dark red/black fruits, ready to harvest in July.

Grown on Colt rootstock to produce a strong healthy tree growing to approx 5-6m tall

Bare root fruit trees are available to buy from November to March each year whilst the trees are dormant.

If you don’t intend to plant a bare root tree immediately upon arrival, store the tree in a cool, frost free shed or garage. It is important to ensure the roots are not exposed to the sun or drying winds between lifting in the nursery and planting on site. Great care should be taken to ensure the tree is heeled in tight to obtain good root/soil contact. The tree should also be staked to provide stability.
