Metasequoia glyptostroboides – Dawn Redwood tree 3-3.5m tall
Metasequoia glyptostroboides is a fast-growing, deciduous conifer with a pyramidal crown. Dawn Redwood tree for sale today!
It has soft, needle-like, green leaves that turn to shades of brown before falling in autumn.
This tree is monoecious, which means that it produces both male and female cones on the same tree.
These barrel-like cones are 2-4cm long. They are light green when young and mature to brown in the autumn.
Dawn Redwood was discovered in China in the early 1940s, before which the genus consisted only of fossilised forms.
This superb tree reaches a mature height of 20m+, it is ideal for large gardens, parks and avenues. It also makes an excellent specimen tree.
Initially, this feathered tree has lateral branches from the ground up. You can prune it into a standard once tall enough.
We are always updating the stock for sale at our tree nursery, but some varieties may only be available through the winter season.

AFTER CARE / PLANT MAINTENANCE
Once planted, Metasequoia glyptostroboides will need watering throughout the first growing season, but make sure not to over / underwater.
Check tree tie / stake isn’t rubbing and / or too tight or too loose on the trunk.
Check for and remove any dead, decaying, diseased or crossing branches.
Remove any weeds from around the base of the Dawn Redwood tree (including grass).

- Hardiness : Hardy in the UK.

How can I expect delivery from King & Co?
Overnight to your door
We can delivery to you anywhere in England and Wales via an overnight courier service (two days for Scotland & Ireland).
Via Online Shop
Orders placed via our Online shop if placed by 10am Monday –Thursday can be delivered to you the very next day. If placed on a Friday – Sunday delivery would be on Tuesday.
We deliver by national overnight courier service.
Should you require a specific delivery date, let us know in advance and we will arrange for your delivery to arrive on your required date.

Please phone us to discuss, we are usually able to deliver to you via a dedicated vehicle.
For local deliveries
