Golden Indian Bean trees produce large, heart shaped, golden-yellow leaves. During summer, these leaves slowly soften to light green. By autumn, the foliage shifts back to rich yellow shades for a striking display.

As it matures, the tree develops a spreading, rounded crown. In time, it reaches up to 15m tall and over 5m wide.

Catalpa responds very well to pollarding and hard pruning. Once established, hard cutting back pushes up to 2m of growth in one season. In turn, this growth encourages large, lush leaves and shapes a striking small tree.

For this reason, the Golden Indian Bean tree suits parks and private gardens seeking shade. It grows best in full sun rather than partial shade. At the same time, it prefers fertile, moist, well-draining soil.

Once planted, Catalpa Bignoniodes Aurea will need watering throughout the first growing season, but make sure not to over / underwater.

Check tree tie / stake isn’t rubbing and / or too tight or too loose on the trunk.

Check for and remove any dead, decaying, diseased or crossing branches.

Remove any weeds from around the base of the Dwarf Indian Bean Tree (including grass).

Overnight to your door

We can delivery to you anywhere in England and Wales via an overnight courier service (two days for Scotland & Ireland).

Via Online Shop

Orders placed via our Online shop if placed by 10am Monday –Thursday can be delivered to you the very next day. If placed on a Friday – Sunday delivery would be on Tuesday.

We deliver by national overnight courier service.

Should you require a specific delivery date, let us know in advance and we will arrange for your delivery to arrive on your required date.
