Picea pungens (Blue spruce) – Larger sizes is a popular, large, evergreen conifer with a dense, symmetrical, pyramidal habit. This hardy tree has a grey/brown smooth bark that develops grooves with age and soft, blue/grey, needle-like leaves that are born on densely leaves, horizontal branches. In late spring to early summer, green cones emerge, these cones will mature to brown before falling later in the year. Blue spruce, will reach a mature height of 15m and a mature spread of 3m, growing well in all aspects, in most moist but well drained soils. This versatile tree will provide surroundings with year-round interest, a popular choice for a specimen in larger gardens, parks, and woodland, this tree can be planted in multiples or as a stand-alone tree. Larger Picea pungens (Blue spruce) are available for local/dedicated delivery only!

Owing to the size and weight of these trees, they are available for local deliveries only. Please note that they will require unloading with machinery to lift the tree from the delivery vehicle, this will be arranged by the customer.

When planting it is important to leave the hessian and wire on the rootball, removing this can cause damage to the roots and compromise the health of the plant dramatically.

Check tree tie / stake isn’t rubbing and / or too tight or too loose on the trunk.

Check for and remove any dead, decaying, diseased or crossing branches.

Remove any weeds from around the base of the Picea tree (including grass).

How can I expect delivery from King & Co?

Overnight to your door

We can delivery to you anywhere in England and Wales via an overnight courier service (two days for Scotland & Ireland).

Via Online Shop

Orders placed via our Online shop if placed by 10am Monday –Thursday can be delivered to you the very next day. If placed on a Friday – Sunday delivery would be on Tuesday.

We deliver by national overnight courier service.

Should you require a specific delivery date, let us know in advance and we will arrange for your delivery to arrive on your required date.

Every tree and plant is packed to ensure your order arrives safely.

Please phone us to discuss, we are usually able to deliver to you via a dedicated vehicle.

For local deliveries
