Cedar Trees

We have a choice of Cedar trees available for you to buy online including
Cedrus deodara (Deodar Cedar) and Thuja plicata (Western Red Cedar)
trees.

When visiting any notable large garden in the UK it is more
than likely you will come across two trees: Cedrus libani, the Cedar of
Lebanon and Cedrus deodara, the Deodar Cecdar. The leading landscape
designer of the 18th century, Capability Brown, nearly always used the
stately Cedar of Labanon, most of which have no reached their majestic
maturity. These landscapers were influential on other designers and both
Cedar of Lebanon and Deodar Cedar are encountered with remarkable
regularity. The Cedar of Lebanon has a tiered crown that can be as wide
as it is tall, it can grow to 30 metres and has dark green needle like
leaves.

A more compact tree, but nonetheless handsome, Deodar
Cedar is lighter in colour and has a slightly weeping habit in contrast
to Cedar of Lebanon. Deodar is a native of the Himalayas, is also
evergreen and is notable as a specimen tree; it has a conical growth
habit. Deodar has a number of cultivars which offer differing colour,
but the pale blue hues of its wispy limbs are enough to create and
magnificent contrast alone. Unfortunately, Cedars are susceptible to
honey fungus, and must thereby be kept in vigorous growth.
