King and Co are again delighted to supply the Father Christmas Experience at Marsh Farm for 2019.
This year King and Co the Tree Nursery supplied Marsh Farm’s Father Christmas Experience with a selection of Christmas trees, conifers, pines and evergreen oaks.
Christmas Trees
A Christmas tree is often the centre of attention wherever it is placed, meaning it is important to select the right variety and size for the location where it is to be placed. King and Co – based in Braintree, Essex are stocking Norway Spruce, Blue Spruce and Nordmann Fir in sizes ranging from roughly 4 to 7 feet in height.
Norway Spruce is the oldest traditional Christmas tree with its short light green needles, being bushy with an upright habit. Every Christmas, Trafalgar Square forms a display from a Picea abies that is sent from Norway itself. Keep it watered to avoid needle drop!
Blue Spruce, best known for its blue steel colour has short, silvery blue, glaucous needles. A pretty tree which is normally symmetrical with a very dense branch habit. Originating from the Rocky Mountains, USA. Again, water to avoid needles dropping!
The third variety is Nordmann Fir, which is a very popular Christmas tree owing to its dense, bushy habit and is less likely to drop needles than other varieties. Below is a sample of the potted Christmas trees at the Nursery in Rayne, Essex.
