We will shortly be commencing our fortieth planting season since starting business in 1978.

King and Co is still privately owned by the founding King family, members of which are still keen to provide you with a service that is absolutely top draw. There are no coffee shops or concessions at the Rayne nursery just an obsession with providing and installing top quality trees and hedging. Since the company’s formation, we have worked on so many prestigious projects including the Stansted Rail link, Sizewell Power station, The Braintree bypass and even HMP Chelmsford. Also for many others; Williams F1, Lord R.A.Butler, Felsted and Hallingbury Schools, The RHS, Essex Wildlife Trust, Braxted Park, Ipswich and Martlesham bypass and we even did the clearance for the Essex route of the M25.

We have also won Gold at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and many other awards. Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited King and Co the Tree Nursery as part of Conservative leadership campaign in July, 2019.
