Is Jasmine the Perfect Plant for Fragrance?

Often associated with soaps, perfumes and incense products you may be asking yourself if Jasmine is the perfect plant for a fragrance in the garden? The answer is a resounding yes and we’re here to show you why.

What is Jasmine?

Jasmine (Rhyncospermum jasminoides) is a beautiful evergreen climber that produces clusters of delicate white flowers with a rich, sweet fragrance from mid to late summer. This scent is intensified on warm summer evenings creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Jasmine is the perfect plant for fragrance in the garden and it is a must-have for tranquil outdoor living spaces!

What is Jasmine good for?

Jasmine loves a warm and sunny aspect but is just as happy in shady parts of the garden. It’s the perfect plant for posts, fences or growing up and over a pergola. At King & Co, we offer a range of jasmine forms to suit any garden design:

1. Jasmine Canes. Perfect for training on a trellis to cover walls and fences, or for gracefully growing over an arch or pergola to add vertical appeal.

2. Jasmine Espaliers. Ideal for planting against a trellis or wall, quickly creating attractive and dense coverage.

3. Jasmine Arch. An excellent choice for placing over a path, framing a doorway, or accenting a patio. This arch instantly elevates any outdoor space with its graceful shape and enchanting fragrance.

In conclusion, Jasmine is the perfect plant for fragrance in the garden. Visit King & Co and explore our full range of expertly grown jasmine climbers!

Frequently Asked Questions

When can you plant trees? Most of our trees are container-grown, so you can plant them at any time of year. However, bare root and rootball trees must be planted during their dormant period, which runs from November to March. These are only available during that time.

Do I need accessories when planting? Yes, staking and tying your tree after planting is essential. This support helps young trees stay upright and grow strong roots. Depending on the tree’s size and location, you may need to single or double stake. For step-by-step guidance, watch our video planting guide.

You can also add feeds and beneficial fungi to the soil. These give your tree the best possible start. View our recommended products here.

Can you plant my tree for me? Yes, we offer a tree planting service for customers local to the nursery. Pricing depends on the size of the tree or pot. To request a quote, please contact us.
