As the autumn rain softens the ground and the plants start moving into dormancy, we can soon start to lift our native hedging from the nursery fields.
Typically they will have grown to 40/60 cms tall ready for transplanting into a native hedgerow. Hawthorn, field maple, dogwood, guelder rose, dog rose and spindle are a small selection of the constituents of a diverse native hedgerow.
The plants are packed into bundles of 25 and are then ready for despatch from early November.
Using bare root plants like this, can result in a saving of upto 70% over those grown in containers. They are also very easy to plant and have proved to be a very successful method of hedgerow establishment. You can pre-order a hedge on a budget before the season starts.
