Salix Gracilistyla Mount Aso – Pink Pussy willow Half Standard
Salix Gracilistyla Mount Aso – Pink Pussy willow is a stunning, deciduous shrub with a spreading, rounded habit. This Willow has stunning display of fuzzy catkins in late winter / early spring which open pink and turn silvery grey, these are followed by lance shaped, blue/green leaves that turn yellow in autumn before falling. The dense crown of branches looks great through winter adding an architectural quality to any border. Here the Pink Pussy Willow has been grafted onto a half standard stem to create a small tree, which raises the foliage to enable the stunning spring display to be seen. If the plant is required to be kept very compact the branches can be hard pruned in late winter and will grow out 1-1.2m in a single season, this prunuing will reduce the catkins though.
The Salix Gracilistyla Mount Aso is grafted onto a different rootstock, so the eventual height is governed by the stem height it is grafted on to. These half standards have a 1m stem and the crown usually grows 2m taller than the graft.
Salix Gracilistyla Mount Aso will grow well in any moist to damp soils in full sun to part shade but Please note that waterlogged areas should be avoided.

AFTER CARE / PLANT MAINTENANCE
The Salix Gracilistyla Mount Aso Willow will need watering throughout the first growing season, but make sure not to over / underwater.
Check tree tie / stake isn’t rubbing and / or too tight or too loose on the trunk.
Check for and remove any dead, decaying, diseased or crossing branches.
Remove any weeds from around the base of the Salix tree (including grass).

Overnight to your door
We can delivery to you anywhere in England and Wales via an overnight courier service (two days for Scotland & Ireland).
Via Online Shop
Orders placed via our Online shop if placed by 10am Monday –Thursday can be delivered to you the very next day. If placed on a Friday – Sunday delivery would be on Tuesday.
We deliver by national overnight courier service.
Should you require a specific delivery date, let us know in advance and we will arrange for your delivery to arrive on your required date.
