Salix caprea Pendula – Kilmarnock willow 8-10cm girth Standard
Salix caprea Pendula is a stunning, small, deciduous tree with a spreading crown of weeping branches cascading almost down to ground level. This tree has stunning display of fuzzy catkins in late winter / early spring which open yellow and turn grey, these are followed by oval, green leaves with a greyish underside that turn yellow in autumn before falling. The dense crown of weeping branches looks great through winter adding an architectural quality to any border.
The Salix caprea Pendula is grafted onto a different rootstock, so the eventual height is governed by the stem height it is grafted on to. These 8-10cm girth standards have a 1.8m stem and the crown usually grows 1-1.5m taller than the graft.
Kilmarnock Willow will grow well in any moist to wet soils in full sun to part shade but Please note that waterlogged areas should be avoided.

AFTER CARE / PLANT MAINTENANCE
The Kilmarnock willow will need watering throughout the first growing season, but make sure not to over / underwater.
Check tree tie / stake isn’t rubbing and / or too tight or too loose on the trunk.
Check for and remove any dead, decaying, diseased or crossing branches.
Remove any weeds from around the base of the Salix tree (including grass).

Overnight to your door
We can delivery to you anywhere in England and Wales via an overnight courier service (two days for Scotland & Ireland).
Via Online Shop
Orders placed via our Online shop if placed by 10am Monday –Thursday can be delivered to you the very next day. If placed on a Friday – Sunday delivery would be on Tuesday.
We deliver by national overnight courier service.
Should you require a specific delivery date, let us know in advance and we will arrange for your delivery to arrive on your required date.
