Photinia X Fraseri 'Red Robin' Standard Tree 8/10cm Girth
Photinia x Fraseri Red Robin tree is a dense, evergreen tree with a bushy head and is commonly used as a screening tree, with a clear stem of approximately 1.8m It can be planted to sit neatly along a standard fence panel.
A tough and vigorous plant, Photinia Red Robin provides winter and spring interest with young foliage emerging red in spring time accompanied by an abundance of white flowers in April/May. As the young red leaves of the tree matures, they gradually harden to a glossy green as spring turns to summer. Suits almost any garden style.
If one tree is strategically placed it can screen unsightly views from your property e.g. neighbours windows, satellite dishes, extensions. Recommended planting distance for the Photinia tree is 1.5m apart, unless you require heads to touch to give an uninterrupted screen.
Photinia Red Robin is a shallow rooted tree which does not create the problems associated with deciduous trees.
