As we are rapidly approaching autumn, the trees and plants will start to revert into a dormant state towards the end of October, signalling the start of the bareroot planting season.
During this period which lasts until mid March, we can supply stock which has been dug straight from the nursery fields without soil around the roots or as “bareroot”. Different species can be transplanted at varying sizes by this method and significant cost savings can be made over container grown plants, which is the only option during the growing season. Most smaller sized hedging is planted bareroot with the additional advantage of moist soils during autumn/winter. You can reserve your bareroot stock now by calling the nursery for delivery early November.
