Things are looking up after a soggy January

Whilst the abnormally wet January at the start of the year curtailed a lot of the scheduled tree planting, the weather has now relented. Planting schemes are now in full swing all over southern England.

Wet ground
A very wet January 2016 delayed tree and hedge planting for many.

Soil that was waterlogged for sometime may be suffering from a lack of oxygen. These areas will need decompacting with a fork or a machine on larger areas.

With Spring just around the corner there is no time to lose, bare root trees and hedging plants are still available, but only until mid March. All our frustrated customers who have been delayed by the wet ground are now in receipt of their bare root trees and able to crack on with planting. Hopefully you’ve not been too frustrated by the wet weather and are now able to progress with your own projects.

Winter tree planting
Planting is now back in full swing.
